Editorial Policy
DailyFOSS publishes AI news, AI updates, and open-source project coverage with a focus on technical usefulness and source transparency.
How Stories Are Selected
We prioritize stories that are:
- Material to developers, maintainers, founders, or technical teams
- Supported by verifiable primary sources
- Timely and relevant to AI and FOSS ecosystems
We avoid low-signal rumor content that cannot be independently verified.
Source Verification Standards
Before publishing, we aim to verify against one or more of:
- Official company/research blog posts
- Project repositories and release notes
- Regulatory or court documents
- Public statements from accountable spokespersons
- Reputable reporting with attributable sourcing
When information is uncertain, we label it clearly as unconfirmed.
AI-Assistance Disclosure
AI tools may assist drafting, outlining, or language cleanup. Human editorial review is required before publication. We do not publish fully unreviewed AI output as final reporting.
Sponsored Content Labeling
Sponsored posts, paid placements, or affiliate-driven pieces are explicitly labeled. Advertising relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.
Corrections Policy
If a factual error is confirmed, we correct it promptly and add a note in the article.
